Republic of Cyprus Selects Tenstorrent for AI Innovation

Tenstorrent, leading open and sovereign AI compute and high-performance RISC-V CPUs, signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Research and Innovation Foundation of Cyprus representing the Government of the Republic of Cyprus.
The partnership shows a shared commitment to build secure and sovereign AI infrastructure aligned with European values and regulatory standards. The collaboration positions Cyprus to advance pathways for regional AI leadership, technical self-sufficiency, and sustainable innovation as they assume the EU Council Presidency in 2026 and finalize their National AI Strategy.
Under the agreement, Tenstorrent and Cyprus will:
- Establish a national AI Innovation Hub to co-design and deploy mission-critical, government-grade AI solutions
- Develop blueprints for digital twins and edge AI infrastructure across public-sector domains
- Enable sovereign compute through open and energy-efficient hardware
- Support academic, workforce, and semiconductor innovation programs rooted in open architectures

This MoU focuses on building long-term digital resilience and positioning Cyprus as a regional AI and semiconductor innovation leader.
